Sports Day, Games and Giggles #LittleLoves

So this week has been over in a flash and its suddenly the long bank holiday weekend and the much needed half term! My two (and me!!) are exhausted and in much need of a few chilled out days. We are off to Norfolk at the end of the week which will be a lovely little break for us.

This weeks #littleloves are;

Read

I have been reading mainly magazines again lately. I have got a book on the go but I just cant get into it! I also read R beautiful comment in the Guest Book at our beach hut. I love children’s writing so much. And what about that cute little picture with us all in our matching outfits!!!

Watched

R at her school sports day and at her first ever cross country running event for the school. I was really lucky that both events happened at the beginning of the week when I am not at school myself! She did so well and was really proud with her 1st, 2nd and 3rd place stickers for running and the obstacle race. Whilst we were watching I said to H “you will be doing this next year” to which he replied “No don’t sign me up for that!”

Made

We had a fantastic Games Night to raise money for the NSPCC last weekend. You can read all about it here. I made a dessert table and some cupcakes for us to nibble on during our monopoly marathon!!

Wore

A really big smile on our trip to the beach on Sunday. It was such a lovely family day. I will write all about it next week. I have also worn my Havaianas flipflops a lot this week. They are just so comfortable. I have three pairs, the kids both have a pair and their Dad lives in his all year long!

Heard

Well apart from the awful Victoria Beckham Hip Hop on Radio One today!!!!! Lots of giggles from R and H as we followed the play trail around our local country park after school on Wednesday. It was a bit drizzly so we were the only people there I think! They had a whale of a time and are very keen to repeat it!!

And Lastly…

What have you got planned for the weekend? R and I are having a girls day on Monday. We are going for hot chocolate, hitting H&M for some holiday essentials and Monsoon for hair clips galore!! I love spending time on my own with her as I miss her when she is at school all day. H is having boys day with Daddy, he wants to go and buy a new England Kit and go to watch the Angry Bird movie! Enjoy the weekend whatever you are up too.

  1. Beach trips have to be our favourite thing! The weather hasn’t been so great at the moment so we will have to hang of a little while longer! Have a wonderful bank holiday weekend.. Popping over from #littlelove

  2. What a lovely guest book entry. When my mum rented out a house she owned in the New Forest my favourite entries in the guest book were always the ones by the kids. So cute!

    Sounds like you’re in for a lovely day tomorrow. Have fun! x
