My Home in April

IMG_3740

April has seen a lot of Spring Sunshine, Delicious Hot Cross Buns and Easter Cakes, and of course the Egg Hunt! Our April this year has been very pastel pink! I seem to have fallen in love with sugary sweet coloured tulips, marshmallow magnolias and the softest of pink roses I could find.

We enjoyed a simple breakfast of Bunny Pancakes on Good Friday and I decorated the table in the orangery with some gorgeous homeware from Homesense.

Our home developed into a slightly brighter hue around the Easter Weekend when we added a pop of daffodil yellow and the brightest green cake from the lovely ladies at Craft Crumb. I absolutely love the cake kits that Craft Crumb make, everything you need is premeasured and ready to go in the kit. You just had to add the eggs and butter. They even provide a paper cake tin so no mess to wash up either! And I promise you both cakes I have made from their kits have been divine!

R even made a little cake to match with her play dough!

We have enjoyed getting outside a bit more this month and I am looking forward to spending more time getting the garden summer ready over the next few weeks. I am making a few changes to the planting (I need to read as many gardening books as I can!!).

I have adored the colours of the homes over in the #myhomeinapril gallery on Instagram. The bright pops of yellow and the calming whites have been gorgeous. Thanks so much to everyone who shares their homes each month. Below are my monthly favourites. I am hoping you all join in from Monday with #myhomeinmay
