I love the social aspect of sitting round a table to eat. As a family we sit around the table nearly every night, when R and H eat earlier I usually sit with them with my cup of tea and chat. Over the Easter weekend we will be enjoying special breakfasts, afternoon teas and the all important roast! I have styled my table with gorgeous pieces from Homesense ready to be adapted for all these occasions!
I started with this gorgeous pastel pink tray, perfect for carrying the pots of tea and hot cross buns to the table. This was £12.99 and looks as if its china. Its actually plastic which is great as I am a bit clumsy!!
Next I had to have the bunny candle, the colour fitted my scheme perfectly and it was only £4.00. It looks super cute on the tray with my jam jar of spring blooms and my Egg Hunt sign.
For each place setting I added some checked linen napkins which were £4.99 for four. The colour of these matched in perfectly and they can be used after Easter too! I added a spring bloom in an egg shell that I had washed out and then a yummy Easter chocolate on each place setting too. Homesense have loads of Easter Eggs and sweet gifts available. These chocolates were in a pack of eight and cost £2.49.
I already had the salt and pepper bunnies and the bunny bowl from last year and they fitted the scheme really well. I decided against a table cloth as I wanted to keep the style quiet informal!
Another new addition was the egg plate. I just fell in love with it! It was £14.99 and I really just had to have it! I thought I might use it to pop boiled eggs on for breakfast and then full on chocolate for lunch and tea!!
I then added a few vases and jam jars of Spring blooms, a little egg shell flower arrangement in an egg box and a very yummy chocolate cake!
That’s my table ready for Easter, what are you planning? Homesense have some gorgeous seasonal items and many are already reduced so go and check them out!
This post was in collaboration with Homesense but all words and photos are my own.
